Namespaces

DeltaXML is fully namespace-aware. This means that element and attribute prefixes are interpreted into their full namespace strings before comparison. These examples use the changes-only delta.

• click ORIGINAL EXAMPLE to return to the original values. You can see here that the two examples below look very different because of the namespace prefixes, but are in fact the same. In the delta file, each prefix is used consistently for each corresponding namespace.
• click DEFAULT NAMESPACE to see how default namespace declarations are handled.
• click ATTRIBUTE EXAMPLE to show how attribute names can also have namespace prefixes.
