Results of the 'van Gogh bedroom at Arles' Spot the Difference Competition

Online Information 2005 at London Olympia 29th November - 1st December 2005

Congratulations to our lucky winner Angela Wilcox from Thomson Learning in Reading, UK who spotted the nine differences and received a brand new iPod nano.

If you were at London's Olympia for the annual Online Information exhibition you may have visited our stand to enter our 'Spot the Difference' competition. If you had a very good eye, and some patience, you would have noticed 9 differences between the two Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) images. We however, have just compared these two XML files using DeltaXML Core and derived these differences in a fraction of the time.

Showing the Changes

We perform an XML comparison with DeltaXML, and then process the delta file to convert it back into SVG with animation, as shown below.

  1. Cup missing from table
  2. Drawer handle added
  3. Leg missing from table
  4. Middle coat missing
  5. Third coat hook added
  6. Floor texture missing
  7. Tie missing from far picture on right-hand wall
  8. Badge added to near picture on right-hand wall
  9. Middle wall panel missing on right-hand wall
